As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for providing support services to the Nutrition Services department. Some of these support services include dishwashing, floor cleaning, trash removal, and stocking.

Responsibilities:
- Dish room set-up, maintained and broken down in a clean sanitary manner at all times while adhering to proper use of chemicals.
- Maintain accurate records of dish machine temperature for each meal period every day.
- Cafeteria floors are swept and mopped before and after each meal period.
- Kitchen floor is maintained throughout the shift and then swept and mopped at the end of the shift.
- Formula room floor is swept and mopped at the end of each shift.
- Weekly and monthly cleaning assignments are completed accurately and timely.
- Proper removal of all trash from kitchen, cafeteria and formula room as needed throughout the entire shift. As well as breaking down boxes and containers, removing all excess packaging and disposing of properly.
- All patient trays/dishes are sorted, rinsed, washed and stored using proper protocol.
- All pots and pans are washed according to protocol.
- Rotate stock and food products in storeroom and walk-in/reach-in using proper protocol.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have good basic reading and writing skills; ability to add and subtract and handle other arithmetic functions. Ability to organize work tasks and function without close supervision.
Work Experience:
- One year of experience washing dishes required. One year experience washing dishes in an institution or healthcare setting preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to stand on feet for 8 hours.
- Must have basic understanding of the age-specific developmental stages of patients served by the Hospital and demonstrate the ability to interact appropriately with patients of all ages.

- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
