As Clinical Organ Transplant Manager, you will oversee the living donor process, clinical nurses and the continuum of care for patients in your department. Other essential responsibilities in this role include interacting with Care Coordinators pre- and post-procedures, running daily/weekly reports, monitoring metrics and managing team workflow and organization. On this team, you will utilize your leadership skills to encourage fellow caregivers as you work collaboratively to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Lead and manage the nursing component of the Organ Transplant Program.
- Ensure continuing nurse job satisfaction and fulfillment through the implementation of appropriate coordinator responsibilities, workload, teamwork and staff morale.
- Ensure patient safety and QA, especially in the development of the Living Donor Program (kidney and liver only).
- Establish QA metrics and foci for CQDirect managerial responsibility of the Clinical Nurse Coordinators and matrix management responsibilities with the managers of the OR, ICUs and inpatient floors (adult and pediatrics).
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Five years of experience in organ procurement or transplantation
- Progressively responsible managerial experience including hiring, orientation, scheduling and evaluation of employees in a clinical environment
- Quality management and improvement experience
- Detailed knowledge of UNOS and OSOTC policies and program standards related to organ transplantation and allocation
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Additional certifications
- Liver and kidney transplant experience
- Ambulatory experience

Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
