As the Director of Clinical Engineering, you will oversee the operations of the department to ensure alignment with Cleveland Clinic missions, values and objectives. In this role, you will facilitate delivery of Clinical Engineering medical device services and support across a large geographical region. This position is essential to the operations of our hospitals, meaning your work is invaluable to our ability to provide exceptional patient care. You will also have numerous opportunities to pursue advanced positions within Facilities and beyond.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM - 4:30PM, with 30% NE OH travel time.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Develop and implement practices, policies and procedures in functional areas of the department.
- Perform staffing and capacity planning for the department.
- Ensure accountability for the development, monitoring of and compliance with departmental budgets, including capital and operating.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements relative to departmental operations and ensure departmental compliance.
- Ensure delivery and success of projects and initiatives.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field and five years of CE Clinical Engineering/Medical Device leadership OR Bachelor’s Degree and seven years of experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) for Biomedical Engineering Technologist (BMET)

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $48.99
Maximum hourly: $74.71
