Summary Of Responsibilities
- Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies
- Counts weight or measures incoming/outgoing items comparing information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other identifying records
- Ensure product meets standards, is not damaged, or there are no shortages and communicates with the shipper to rectify any deficiencies
- Operates equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies require to move or reorganize storage
- Responsible to ensure cargo is secured properly and safely with weight evenly distributed for transport
- Drive company vehicle when necessary
- Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests, documents transactions appropriately, prepares requisitions and computes costs, keeps records of storeroom inventory
- Valid driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to find information, document relevant information, and knowledge of computers
- Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
- Ability to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)
- Valid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset
- 1-3 years’ experience in a production environment
