Summary Of Responsibilities
- Develop solutions and implement projects that improve the process and focus on providing electrical and programming logic expertise
- Diagnose and troubleshoot programming, electrical and process issues
- Must be able to create and modify programming logic systems and code to support and improve the process
- Conduct tests to confirm necessary programming and equipment changes
- Must possess the ability to work with operations, engineering, maintenance, and other technical resources in a group and then drive results
- Analyze and modify blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems
- Must have the ability to lead and/or monitor the electrical work of outside contractors (e.g. electrical system upgrades, expansions, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that the projects are satisfactory and completed in a timely manner
- Complete project responsibilities for design, specification, review and development of electrical equipment or systems.
- Should have a working knowledge of industrial wiring, controls, and instrumentation
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related degree.
- Working knowledge of PLC and HMI setup and programming
- Working knowledge of AC and DC drives troubleshooting and setup
- Working knowledge of tuning and calibration of PID loops and controls
- General knowledge about networking
- Ability to troubleshoot complex process problems
- Ability to self-learn new hardware / software platforms
- Must be able to work in a multi-level organization which operates 24/7
- Must have the ability to work effectively within a team environment, utilizing clear and effective communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Able to manage several projects at a time and make timely and accurate decisions
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications, computer skills and data analysis skills
- Ideal candidates will have two or more years of related experience in manufacturing.
- PLC design, programming, installation and troubleshooting experience. Siemens PLC Series 5/7 is a plus.
- Experience with Siemens Masterdrives.
- Experience with IBA PDA.
- In-depth knowledge of power distribution equipment.
