Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our outpatient team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to create diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions they may have
- Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality images
- Operate MRI scanners and computer software to capture images
- Monitor patients during the procedure to ensure their safety and comfort
- Evaluate images for quality and clarity, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret and analyze images
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Proficient in operating MRI scanners and related equipment
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate image capture
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during scanning
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an MRI Technologist from an accredited program
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure or certification
- CPR certification
