Ideal candidates will support the Special Education Teacher in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs; provide one-on-one or small group support to students in academic, social, and behavioral settings; assist with classroom management and behavior interventions as needed; support students with daily tasks and activities, including personal care and mobility assistance; and collaborate with the teacher and other team members to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred; experience working with individuals with disabilities or in an educational setting preferred; Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues; patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude; commitment to promoting inclusion, equity, and diversity in education; meets high-quality state standards or equivalent.
