About The Company
About Cleo
At Cleo, we're not just building another fintech app. We're embarking on a mission to fundamentally change humanity's relationship with money. Imagine a world where everyone, regardless of background or income, has access to a hyper-intelligent financial advisor in their pocket. That's the future we're creating.
Cleo is a rare success story: a profitable, fast-growing unicorn with over $300 million in ARR and growing over 2x year-over-year. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to join a team of brilliant, driven individuals who are passionate about making a real difference. We have an exceptionally high bar for talent, seeking individuals who are not only at the top of their field but also embody our culture of collaboration and positive impact.
If you’re driven by complex challenges that push your expertise, the chance to shape something truly transformative, and the potential to share in Cleo’s success as we scale, while growing alongside a company that’s scaling fast, this might be your perfect fit.

About The Role
As Cleo continues to scale, our board, shareholder base, and capital-markets activity is becoming broader and more complex.
We are hiring a dedicated Head of Investor Relations to expand and strengthen the current function embedded within the Strategic Finance team: to bring focused ownership to board and shareholder engagement, private financings, secondary liquidity and the cap table, while raising the quality and consistency of our investor communications.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll build on the strong foundations already in place, working with an experienced team that has developed high-quality materials and investor processes, while taking direct ownership of the relationships, cadence and key investor moments.
Over the next two years, you’ll also help strengthen Cleo’s public-market readiness across the equity story, investor base, reporting standards and internal disciplines required for a potential IPO and life as a public company.
Key Resonsibilities
We strongly encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, carers, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
If there’s anything we can do to accommodate your specific situation, please let us know.

Key Resonsibilities
- Own and elevate Cleo's investor relations function - from board and shareholder engagement today to building public-market readiness standards.
- You'll run our board reporting and shareholder communications, lead investor engagement and liquidity processes, and keep Cleo well positioned for future private-market activity - while progressively building the capabilities and relationships to engage the public markets ahead of a future listing.
- Shape Cleo’s long-term equity story, anchored in durable Consumer FinTech growth, customer engagement, product performance, unit economics and profitability.
- Lead the development of investor presentations, shareholder materials, business overviews and roadshow-style content.
- Build the reporting standards, disclosure discipline and investor-relations infrastructure that can evolve naturally from a late-stage private company into a public-company environment.
- Own relationships across Cleo’s board, existing shareholders, prospective private investors and future public-market investors.
- Run the board and shareholder communication cadence, including meetings, updates and high-stakes investor interactions. Maintain a clear view of the cap table, shareholder rights and ownership dynamics
- Develop a proactive engagement programme across current investors, growth funds, public-market investors, sell-side analysts, banks and advisers.
- Lead the IR workstream for private capital raises, secondary transactions and other strategic capital-markets activity - investor targeting, transaction positioning, diligence and management materials.
- Lead liquidity processes for employees and other shareholders, balancing pricing, allocation and shareholder needs against valuation strategy and long-term cap-table quality.
- Monitor private and public comparables, valuation frameworks, investor sentiment and the narratives shaping consumer fintech.
- Translate market feedback into clear insights for the executive team and board. Identify gaps between Cleo’s trajectory and investor expectations, and help management communicate the business with clarity and credibility.
- Over time, help define Cleo’s approach to guidance, KPI disclosure and expectations management as the company prepares for the public markets.
- Continue to improve Cleo’s IR processes, systems and operating cadence while keeping the function lean and commercially focused.
- Introduce the tooling, dashboards and automation needed to manage reporting, investor targeting and engagement at greater scale. Define how the function should evolve and where future headcount or external support will add value.
- 7 years of experience across investor relations, investment banking, equity research, growth investing or strategic finance.
- Deep familiarity with consumer and fintech business models.
- Experience leading or supporting multiple private financing rounds and secondary transactions.
- Credibility with sophisticated private-market investors, board members and senior executives.
- Strong financial fluency across operating metrics, financial statements, valuation and capital structure.
- Exceptional written, verbal and visual communication.
- Bias to action and zero ego. The ability to operate independently, exercise strong judgment and remain close to the work.
- Experience on both sides of the IPO line.
- Experience building or materially improving an investor-relations function.
- Experience in consumer lending, credit, subscriptions, payments or regulated financial products.
- Existing relationships across US & European growth investors, public-market investors, analysts and investment banks.
