Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, clean, harmonize, document, and analyze health-related datasets.
- Communicate research results effectively and actively participate in preparing publication-ready tables, manuscripts, conference abstracts and progress reports.
- Collaborate actively with team members, research staff, students, and external collaborators.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed, based on the evolving needs of the projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- PhD in one of the fields: nursing, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, biomedical informatics, data science, psychology, gerontology or any other related fields.
- Expertise in at least one data science software package (e.g., R, Python, SQL), experience in statistical analyses or machine learning techniques and ability to manage/analyze data and interpret the results.
- Excellent written communication skills and strong potential for publications.
- Ability to multitask and adjust project priorities based on project needs.
- Enthusiasm to advance research in aging, ADRD, health services research, and data science.
- Experience working with large-scale secondary health datasets, such as electronic health records, claims data, HRS, ADNI, All of Us, or similar aging/health datasets.
- Evidence of experience in quantitative data analysis and reproducible computational research using statistical and programming tools (e.g., R, Python) applied to health or population-based research.
- Project management skills.
