Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and care.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation and handling, ensuring all items are fresh and presented well.
- Operate the Clover POS system efficiently to process customer orders accurately.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, take orders, and recommend menu items based on preferences.
- Handle cash and credit transactions while maintaining accuracy in retail math operations.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; communicate needs to management as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Strong basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
