Job Summary
Clemente Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team. The Sterilization Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patient care by ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and organized. This position requires NO prior experience but has a willingness to be trained on infection control practices and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of orthodontic instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Cleaning the operatories between patients.
- Maintaining the operatories are stocked with the appropriate sterilized instruments and clinical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and procedures to minimize the risk of contamination.
- Maintaining the lab equipment and care of instruments.
- Assist in the preparation of instruments for various orthodontic procedures.
- Monitoring the clinical inventory and distribution of supplies.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques during all cleaning and sterilization processes.
- Collaborate with orthodontic staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for patient care.
