Parts Clerk (Summer Position)

The MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Clerk supports the maintenance team by ensuring the right parts and materials are available when needed. This role is a great opportunity for college students to gain hands-on experience in inventory management, operations support and working in an industrial environment.

This position combines physical activity with clerical responsibilities, offering a balanced workday and exposure to real-world supply chain and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Retrieve and distribute parts and materials for Maintenance and Operations teams in a timely manner
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming deliveries
• Maintain accurate inventory through organization and cycle counting
• Ensure storage areas are clean, labeled, and efficiently arranged
• Assist with tracking and documenting parts usage in systems (e.g., SAP)
• Support team members by helping locate parts and resolving basic inventory issues
• Follow safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and equipment handling

Preferred Experience / Requirements

• Mechanical, automotive, or parts-related experience is a plus
• Familiarity with inventory systems or SAP is preferred but not required
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and moving materials
• Availability to work full-time during the summer months
  
  

Work Environment

• Approximately 50% physical work (walking, lifting, retrieving parts)
• Approximately 50% clerical/organizational tasks
• Fast-paced, team-oriented industrial setting
