What You’ll Do
Regulatory & Food Safety Leadership
- Lead USDA regulatory compliance and serve as primary plant liaison
- Oversee HACCP plans, CCP validation, and pre-op verification programs
- Drive resolution of Non-Reports (NRs), micro deviations, and food safety escalations
- Ensure adherence to GMPs, sanitation standards, and federal inspection requirements
- Identify systemic food safety risks and implement corrective actions
- Supervise and develop QA Technicians and Food Quality Evaluators
- Manage staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, and KPI alignment
- Coach team on root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Monitor sanitation trends and sampling programs
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, and Production
- Drive data-based improvements to strengthen food safety systems\
- 3 years in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or Meat/Protein Manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of USDA regulations and HACCP systems
- Experience responding to USDA NRs and regulatory audits
- Leadership experience in a production environment
- PCQI certification preferred
