Parts Clerk (Summer Position)
The MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Clerk supports the maintenance team by ensuring the right parts and materials are available when needed. This role is a great opportunity for college students to gain hands-on experience in inventory management, operations support and working in an industrial environment.
This position combines physical activity with clerical responsibilities, offering a balanced workday and exposure to real-world supply chain and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve and distribute parts and materials for Maintenance and Operations teams in a timely manner
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming deliveries
- Maintain accurate inventory through organization and cycle counting
- Ensure storage areas are clean, labeled, and efficiently arranged
- Assist with tracking and documenting parts usage in systems (e.g., SAP)
- Support team members by helping locate parts and resolving basic inventory issues
- Follow safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and equipment handling

- Availability to work full-time during the summer months

- Approximately 50% physical work (walking, lifting, retrieving parts)
