Position Overview
The Production Lead plays a critical role in supporting daily operations on the production floor. This position partners closely with team members and leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production, while driving accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do

Communicate and coordinate with Material Management to support production needs

Track and support daily department performance and key metrics

Manage product flow, staging, and order assembly to ensure efficiency and accuracy

Locate, rework, re-label, or re-date product as needed
-
Support production operations by filling in on lines and operating equipment (including lowboy)

Perform required quality and food safety checks (temperature, leaker, burst tank, etc.)

Ensure adherence to SOPs, food safety standards, and all safety policies

Train and support team members to build capability and consistency

Identify process issues and work collaboratively to resolve and improve them

Verify schedules and align daily activities to meet production goals

Ensure proper end-of-day organization, product storage, and housekeeping

Submit and track maintenance needs using systems such as Avantis

Utilize operational systems (ERP, Portean, Accusort, etc.) effectively
-
Assist with data entry and performance tracking to support continuous improvement
-
Order supplies as needed to maintain smooth operations
What You Bring

High school diploma or GED required

Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred

Basic computer and data entry skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in multiple formats

Basic math skills (including ratios, percentages, and measurements)

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
