Residential Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and panels
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects
• Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes for safety and compliance
• Diagnose electrical issues using testing tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters; perform necessary repairs efficiently
• Work with high-voltage electrical wiring safely on construction sites or renovation projects involving industrial or commercial systems
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while maintaining safety procedures at all times
• Collaborate with team members and clients to plan electrical layouts and provide expert guidance on system upgrades or new installations

Requirements

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven residential experience; industrial or commercial electrician experience is a plus
• Extensive knowledge of electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and reading electrical schematics
• Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, and high-voltage electrical wiring
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures for electrical work
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical blueprints accurately; experience with schematic diagrams is essential
• Skilled in the use of testing instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters for diagnostics
• Strong construction site experience including renovation projects; frame carpentry or handyman skills are advantageous
• Knowledge of low voltage systems, circuit wiring, and electrical blueprint reading for diverse residential projects
• Ability to work safely in high-voltage environments while adhering to all safety protocols; previous experience with high-voltage wiring preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex electrical issues

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
