What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Office- Front Office Specialist position at Clegg & Guest Physical Therapy?
Purpose:
- To help facilitate continuity in daily operations for a fast paced physical therapy office by working with therapists and support staff.
- Act as the first point of contact for the office and offer a positive first impression.
- Able to multitask and adapt to changing situations that may arise in scheduling, answering phones, checking in patients, collecting co-pays, and processing documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in person or on the phone in a friendly, professional manner.
- Maintain patient records by updating personal and insurance information.
- Schedule patients and facilitate patient flow by notifying therapists of patient arrivals, delays, or other changes.
- Process and follow up on correspondence relating to patients.
- Weekly tracking of visits and quarterly quality assurance reporting.
- Collect and process patient payments.
- Ensure a clean and neat workspace while maintaining office inventory.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Graduate, some college preferred
Experience Required
- Microsoft Office
- Medical office experience (preferred)
- Marketing and social media experience is a plus.
Job Type:
- Hourly rate based on experience
- 25-30 average hours per week; M, W, Th evenings are required (up to 7:00 p.m.)
