A Project Coordinator obtains work requests, then travels to meet with customers, contractors, and/or business owners to determine what new electrical infrastructure or modifications to the existing system are needed to satisfy the work request. They facilitate timely and quality distribution projects by preparing overhead and underground designs and material list. They also direct and inspect construction performed by Cleco and contractor crews to ensure compliance with specifications and guidelines. Key Responsibilities Champions a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence. Follows all company safety rules and guidelines, as contained in the Cleco safety manual. Model and promote ethical business conduct and compliance with both the letter and spirit of all laws, rules and regulations to which Cleco is subject, annual ethics training will be provided. Utilizing readily available code books, ensure that distribution facilities meet applicable codes and regulations. Maximize profitability by providing accurate costs estimates to enable Cleco’s Distribution Planning, Governmental Service, and Business Development departments to properly evaluate distribution projects. Meets with customer to plan new service and lighting installations Collaborates with engineering staff and other departments to complete project tasks, reaching out for technical assistance when needed to meet project milestones. Using the Electric Service Standards and Cleco Distribution Construction Manual, create job packets that ensure the proper construction designs and materials are used on the distribution system. Utilizing ArcFM Design Tool, verify that designs provide the appropriate system mapping information to accurately reflect any changes to the Distribution System. Oversee work activities of construction crews to ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications. Provide information to acquire the necessary right-of-way, permits, and cost information. Ensures that all work orders in their area of responsibility are worked in a timely manner following established work management procedures. Investigates and implements resolutions to multiple outage issues in their area of responsibility Assists with service restoration activities; including circuit patrol, damage assessment, and contractor crew supervision. Assists with management of Joint Use transfers in area of responsibility. Qualifications Required Education, Skills & Experience Secondary/High School Diploma 0-5 years of related experience Step progression levels based on skill proficiency and scope of job.
