The Energy Efficiency Representative serves as the primary advisor and support contact for Cleco customers participating in energy efficiency programs. This role is responsible for guiding customers through program options, eligibility, and enrollment via phone and email. The representative also processes rebates, assists with reviewing project submissions, and collaborates closely with the energy efficiency team to ensure programs are effectively coordinated to meet customer needs. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. Representatives also attend promotional events and training sessions as needed to stay informed and engaged. Key Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for customers seeking information about Cleco’s energy efficiency programs Work as part of the energy efficiency team ensuring that the evaluation, implementation, and verification of utility sponsored energy efficiency projects are successfully executed Review project application forms and submittals by customers, contractors, engineers/consultants, and other program participants in order to ascertain compliance with program policies and procedures Provide technical assistance and guidance on energy efficient technologies and practices to companies participating in utility-sponsored programs Interface/interact by phone, chat and email with customers and contractors participating in utility sponsored programs with professionalism and clarity Process paperwork for program incentive payments per established policies and procedures.
