Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with transmission and distribution design projects.
- Support the preparation and review of engineering drawings, calculations, project documents, and other technical deliverables.
- Help research and evaluate project information to support engineering recommendations.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with engineering, operations, and other business teams.
- Assist with tracking project materials, design needs, schedules, and technical updates.
- Learn how engineering standards, safety requirements, and design practices are applied to utility projects.
- Support improvements to engineering processes, procedures, and design activities.
- Share project findings or accomplishments with leaders at the end of internship.
Qualifications
Required Education, Skills & Experience
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or another applicable engineering discipline
- Interest in electric utilities, infrastructure, engineering design, or project work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job
- Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment and presenting ideas and opinions in a respective and collegial manner
