Role Description
We're hiring a full-time Account Executive to join our team on-site in Arlington, VA. You'll own the full sales cycle from qualifying inbound demo requests, through trial, to close for SMB and mid-market GovCon prospects. This is a high-velocity, founder-adjacent role: you'll run multiple demos a day, drive trial-to-paid conversion, onboard new customers onto the platform, and partner with customer success to make sure they actually win contracts using CLEATUS.
What you'll do
- Own a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced GovCon prospects from first touch to closed-won
- Run consultative product demos tailored to each prospect's contracting profile
- Manage trial accounts through the conversion funnel and drive activation
- Onboard new customers: customer account setup, initial configuration, kickoff calls, and early adoption check-ins
- Negotiate pricing and terms within established guardrails; coordinate with leadership on enterprise deals
- Keep our CRM clean and current every touch logged, every stage accurate
- Feed product, marketing, and leadership with structured insights from the front lines
Qualifications
- Experience in B2B or software sales experience
- Exposure to government contracting or procurement: whether selling into GovCon buyers (capture, BD, proposal teams, CFOs at federal contractors), working at a contractor, or in federal/state/local procurement
- AI-native: you use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor every day to accelerate your own workflow (research, prospect prep, drafting, analysis). You don't just tolerate AI tools; you compound your output with them.
- Strong product instincts: comfortable running a technical demo without a sales engineer next to you
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to write a sharp follow-up email and a clean recap
- Self-motivated and outcome-oriented: you're energized by speed, autonomy, and a high bar for execution
Nice to have
- Prior experience at an early-stage SaaS company
- Hands-on experience with Attio, HubSpot, or Salesforce
- Background in federal sales, defense tech, or fintech for SMBs
- Familiarity with SAM.gov, USA Spending, or state/local procurement portals
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
