What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer-Heavy Duty position at Clearwater Truck Center?
**This is a heavy‑duty truck repair shop position — experience in diesel, fleet, or mechanical environments required.
Clearwater Truck Center, Inc. is looking to add an Assistant Service Writer to our Service Department team. We are a family-owned business that offers heavy duty diesel parts/service, truck sales, and chrome accessories. Available shift will be Monday-Friday (no weekends) 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Communicating with customers via telephone, or in person, to schedule work, set appointments, and assign tasks to mechanics
- Supervising mechanics to guarantee that their services align with the quality standards established by Clearwater Truck Center, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Sourcing and ordering parts from local vendors and major suppliers; managing stock orders as needed
- Maintaining inventory
- Providing exceptional customer service over the phone and in person for both current and prospective customers
- Collecting payments for invoices
- Handling closing responsibilities
- Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned
Pay for this position will start at $25, plus commission available. Willing to negotiate based on experience.
