About the role

Clearwater Hydraulics is looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to join our shop team. This role focuses on manual machining, welding, and fabrication work. If you are someone who can take a job list and run with it, figure things out, and take pride in getting the work done right, you will fit in well here. This is a shop-based position with minimal customer interaction. You'll be working both independently and alongside a team that values reliability, efficiency, and quality work

What you'll do

• Perform manual machining using a manual lathe and manual mill

• Weld and fabricate parts using wire feed and TIG welding equipment

• Operate cutting, grinding, and fabrication tools

• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy

• Build replacement parts based on samples or drawings

• Estimate time and materials and complete jobs within those estimates

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment

• Read and interpret drawings

• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Ability to read and interpret drawings

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Self-starter who doesn't need constant direction

• Good attention to detail and pride in quality work

• Experience with manual machining and welding is preferred, but we're open to training the right person

Schedule:

• Full-time position

• Monday through Friday

• Day shift (8-hour shifts)

Compensation Structure:

This position is hired in at an hourly rate of $18–$25 per hour (DOE) while you get up to speed. Following the successful completion of the introductory/probationary period, employees will transition into a flat-rate pay structure.

Pay is directly tied to productivity, efficiency, and quality of work. Strong performers have the opportunity to increase their earnings based on output while maintaining high standards. This structure rewards initiative, efficiency, and getting the job done right the first time.
