What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at Clearwater Composites, LLC?
Position Summary:
Responsible for a number of maintenance and production support-related tasks for the manufacturing of composite products. Duties will include inspecting, maintaining, repairing, installing, and diagnosing problems of production/manufacturing equipment; maintaining the building and grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Routine Equipment Maintenance
· Perform required preventative maintenance for manufacturing equipment, forklifts, and vehicles
· Maintain maintenance records and update preventative maintenance list
· Diagnose equipment-related issues (finding root cause) and implement solutions
2. Building and Grounds Maintenance
· Coordinate with contractors: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
· Snow removal, lawn mowing
· Building upkeep and repair
3. Equipment Repair
· Repair equipment and get equipment running in a timely fashion
· Sourcing and replacing needed parts and components
· Maintaining spare parts inventory
4. Manage Maintenance Task List
· Attend regular meetings to prioritize list, communicate progress, set deadlines, define and discuss details
· Provide timelines and budget for projects
· Complete tasks in a timely fashion
Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma plus 2-5 years of work experience in a similar maintenance position
· Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional manner when facing challenges
· Strong time management and organizational skills – able to meet deadlines, effectively multitask, prioritize, problem solve
· Ability to operate fork truck and/or bobcat
· Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Involves working in a manufacturing environment; typically standing/walking during the day; ability to lift 50 pounds
· Knows and uses all related Safety procedures – for example, Lock Out Tag Out
· Technical skills to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns
· Must have a valid MN vehicle operator’s license
· Advanced training in electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/technical building systems and equipment preferred
· Ability to weld various metals preferred
