- Safely administer non-injectable medications and provide treatment assistance in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at all times.
- Monitor residents before, during, and after medication administration, identifying potential side effects or adverse reactions and promptly reporting concerns to nursing staff.
- Supervise and support residents who self-administer medications, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Observe, document, and communicate changes in residents’ physical condition, mental status, or behaviors to the interdisciplinary care team to support timely interventions and quality care.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation related to medication administration, resident observations, incidents, and other required records.
- Collaborate closely with nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to promote continuity of care and a positive, resident-centered environment.
- Uphold infection control practices, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements while delivering compassionate, respectful care to residents.
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience working directly with older adults preferred
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must enjoy working with the senior population
