Green Acres Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and motivated Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) to join our exceptional care team! As a Kentucky Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering non-injectable prescription medications under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed medical staff. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate medication delivery while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong nursing support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely administer non-injectable medications and provide treatment assistance in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at all times.
  • Monitor residents before, during, and after medication administration, identifying potential side effects or adverse reactions and promptly reporting concerns to nursing staff.
  • Supervise and support residents who self-administer medications, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Observe, document, and communicate changes in residents’ physical condition, mental status, or behaviors to the interdisciplinary care team to support timely interventions and quality care.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation related to medication administration, resident observations, incidents, and other required records.
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to promote continuity of care and a positive, resident-centered environment.
  • Uphold infection control practices, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements while delivering compassionate, respectful care to residents.


Required skills and qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience working directly with older adults preferred
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must enjoy working with the senior population
