Position Overview:
As a Liquor Store Clerk at Johnny Mac's Liquor Shack, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have an exceptional shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers in finding the perfect beverage for their needs, providing product recommendations, operating the cash register, stocking the store, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with their beverage selections.
- Offer product recommendations and provide information about featured products.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
- Restock shelves and ensure products are neatly arranged.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Check identification to verify the legal drinking age of customers.
- Assist with inventory management and periodic stocktaking.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor laws and regulations.
- Must be able to work/close on Saturday nights
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory counting.
- Knowledge of different types of beverages (wines, spirits, beers) is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have the physical strength and endurance to move up to approximately 30-50 pound.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test prior to employment
