We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Grounds Superintendent to lead and oversee all aspects of landscape maintenance and grounds management. Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and support groundskeeping staff to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to established standards
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily, weekly, and seasonal grounds maintenance activities including mowing, snow removal, irrigation, landscaping, and fertilization
- Inspect property conditions regularly and implement improvements to maintain a respectful and well-kept environment
- Operate and oversee the safe use of all grounds equipment including mowers, snow removal equipment, trimmers, chainsaws, and other power tools
- Coordinate and participate in interment, entombment, and inurnment processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures
- Verify grave locations, layout, and documentation in accordance with cemetery records and policies
- Responsible for setup and breakdown of graveside services, ensuring professionalism and attention to detail.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, manage maintenance schedules, and ensure proper documentation through maintenance logs
- Identify and perform or coordinate repairs to grounds, buildings, and equipment as needed
- Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and environmental guidelines

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a team
- Strong knowledge of grounds maintenance practices, landscaping, and equipment operation
- Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret cemetery maps and property layouts
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor
- Perform other duties as assigned by the needs of the business.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive physical tasks. The position requires frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and equipment. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects, occasionally exceeding 50 pounds, with or without assistance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
