Summary: The Business Developer’s primary responsibility is company growth through qualifying and selling new year-round landscape management services for both the growing and winter season months. This includes all services associated with professional lawn and landscape care as well as snow and ice management needs. In addition to growing and managing clients, this position will be responsible for improving communication with lead prospects, tailoring negotiating strategies and strengthening our presence at networking events through promoting the company brand. Opportunities for this position are available in the Minneapolis/St.Paul Metropolitan Area.
Essential Functions
1. Identify new sales leads and present proposals in professional manner, according to company standards.
2. Maintain company-owned database of current customer information, prospective customers, and past customers to support the marketing and sales effort.
3. Represent the company at various events, organizations, and associations for the purpose of building relationships that lead to new business.
4. Acquire new customers by conducting cold calls, door-to-door sales, and networking.
5. Proactively research and qualify potential new clients.
6. Enhance and strengthen a positive relationship between both current / potential clients and our brand based upon clear and frequent communication, mutual trust, and ability to meet the customer needs.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently functioning in outdoor environments. These outdoor environments may occasionally include inclement weather, heat and humidity, cold and corresponding precipitation and exposure to dust and other airborne particles.
Otherwise, the Team Member will be working in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear. The Team Member must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Expected Work Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Depending on weather conditions, client needs, business developments and other relevant factors, this position occasionally requires long hours, including evening and / or weekend work.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for professional training and development opportunities, or occasional business development needs.
Required Education and Experience
A high-school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Relevant degrees are valued, but not required. Prior landscape industry and / or account management experience is required for this position. Valid US drivers license is required for this position.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
