Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance to support financing and strategic growth initiatives for a large-scale, capital-intensive organization. This position is ideally suited for candidates with a strong investment banking background, particularly those with experience advising on M&A transactions, capital raises, valuation engagements, and complex financial modeling assignments.

As a key member of the Corporate Finance team, you will play an integral role in evaluating financing alternatives, supporting capital-raising activities, conducting sophisticated financial analyses, and partnering with lenders, investors, and external stakeholders. This highly visible role offers significant exposure to executive leadership and strategic decision-making while also supporting treasury and cash management initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring the rigor, transaction experience, and financial modeling expertise developed within a leading investment banking, M&A advisory, or corporate finance environment and will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex, integrated financial models to support financing activities, project development, and strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze and evaluate debt, equity, and hybrid financing alternatives to optimize the company's capital structure and maximize shareholder value.
  • Support capital-raising efforts by preparing financial analyses, presentations, investor materials, and transaction-related documentation.
  • Assist in the execution of financing transactions and strategic corporate initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate development opportunities.
  • Participate in due diligence processes involving potential lenders, investors, strategic partners, and acquisition targets.
  • Support interactions with rating agencies, including financial model preparation, presentation development, and analytical requests.
  • Review and analyze transaction-related materials, including consultant reports, Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), investor presentations, and other financing documents.
  • Monitor and analyze interest rate trends, debt portfolios, and financing costs to support funding strategies.
  • Assist with treasury and cash management activities, including cash flow reporting, borrowing packages, compliance monitoring, and liquidity planning.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic analyses and ad hoc projects critical to the company's growth, financing, and value creation objectives.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, Project Finance, Treasury, or related fields.
  • Strong preference for candidates with direct investment banking experience and a track record of supporting M&A transactions, capital raises, strategic advisory engagements, and financing transactions.
  • Extensive experience building and managing sophisticated financial models, including cash flow forecasting, valuation models, scenario analyses, and transaction modeling.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital structure optimization, valuation methodologies, and financial statement analysis.
  • Experience supporting debt and equity financing transactions and interacting with institutional investors, lenders, and external advisors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a transaction-driven environment.
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present financial analyses and recommendations to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, energy, infrastructure, LNG, or other capital-intensive industries is preferred.
  • Project development experience is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA, CFA, or other relevant advanced credentials are preferred.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will likely come from a top-tier investment banking, M&A advisory, or project finance background, bringing experience executing complex transactions, building sophisticated financial models, evaluating strategic opportunities, and supporting capital-raising initiatives. This individual will possess both the technical expertise and commercial acumen necessary to succeed in a highly visible corporate finance role supporting significant growth and financing objectives.

Recruiter Note: This opportunity is particularly attractive for candidates seeking to transition from investment banking into an industry role while continuing to leverage their transaction, M&A, valuation, and capital markets expertise in a strategic corporate finance environment.
