Summary:
The Junior .NET Developer will support the gas and power trading operations. The best fit candidate will work closely with traders, analysts, and IT teams to deliver high-impact solutions that drive profitability, efficiency, and innovation. Will be accountable for delivering both tactical and strategic system enhancements and fixes that have a direct impact on business profitability, while aligning with operational constraints. You will ensure that all implemented changes are reliable, high-quality, and secure, and that they fully comply with internal development standards and frameworks. These standards are defined in collaboration with the Architecture Committee to maintain consistency, governance, and technical excellence across the trading IT landscape.
Duties:
This is a Junior Level support role that will assist with troubleshooting/releases and database support.
- Provide user support and assist with the resolution of incidents and problems
- Contribute to backlog management of change requirements and assist in their delivery
- Maintain compliance of development and related activities with audit, cybersecurity and other internal requirements, such as SOX, NERC, FERC, and others
- Ensure and maintain effective interactions with other relevant teams
- Develop and operate according to defined service delivery and management methodologies and enforce technology standards
- Develop system/application evolutions and fixes according to business specifications, and ensure adherence to best practice, test strategies and deployment standards
- Contribute to the architectural and technical decisions related to software development
- Contribute to the definition and enhancement of the standards, procedures and guidelines of development
- Provide technical support and assistance to BA’s and other contributors for specifications and testing
Requirements:
-2-6 years of experience in software development.
- Experience in DevOps and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with ETRM systems, bid-to-bill system integrations, and other power vendor technologies A PLUS
- Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and to work under pressure, excellent communication and organizational skills, adaptability, supervisory and coaching skills.
- Databases (Oracle, MongoDB)
- Frontend & backend frameworks (AngularJS, ASP.NET, C#, Web API)
- Development tools (Git, MS TFS)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
