Senior/Lead Demand Planner – Consumer Products

About the Role
We are exclusively working on a newly created search for a Senior Demand Planner for one of our best clients. This role will work for a rapidly growing consumer products leader & will own forecasting for a major product portfolio, driving best-in-class Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), analytics, and cross-functional alignment. This role plays a critical part in shaping demand strategy, improving forecast accuracy, and supporting supply, inventory, and financial performance.
Responsibilities
• Own the demand forecast for a key business segment
• Build advanced statistical forecasts using POS, syndicated data, and customer inputs
• Lead the demand portion of the S&OP process
• Provide insights on demand scenarios, risks, and business recommendations
• Partner with Supply Planning to optimize inventory and minimize stockouts
• Analyze sell-in vs. sell-through trends and retailer data
• Build dashboards and reporting tools to highlight trends and performance
• Drive continuous improvement in forecasting processes and analytics
• Mentor junior planners and analysts
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Economics, or similar
• 3–7 years in demand planning or forecasting (CPG/consumer products preferred)
• Strong analytical skills; expertise with POS and syndicated data
• Advanced Excel experience with Power BI
• Proven ability to influence and present to leadership
• Track record of improving forecast accuracy and supporting S&OP
Preferred:
• Experience with SAP
• Exposure to ML-based forecasting or advanced demand sensing
• Experience collaborating directly with major retail partners
• MBA or advanced degree

Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
