We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team.
The job currently is 27-32 hours per week
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering products to our customers efficiently and safely. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle physical demands associated with driving and delivery tasks. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle for route driving and deliveries.
- Load and unload products at various delivery locations, ensuring accuracy and care with each item.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and product counts.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including organizing inventory and operating forklifts or pallet jacks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of route driving.
- Valid driver's license
- Able to pass DOT physical
- preferred; manual transmission experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of products as required by the job.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, including familiarity with loading/unloading procedures.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is preferred but not mandatory.
