We are currently seeking a Director of Clinical Services that has at least 10 years of experience in the psychiatric/ behavioral arena. Must be willing to take on a caseload if and when needed. Must be flexible and willing to work in a Team environment. Must have inpatient experience.
The Director of Clinical Services will supervise, train, and be the source of accountability for the staff clinicians and interns directly. In addition, he/she works closely alongside the Director of Nursing, and operations departments to assure the clinical components of the facility are appropriately coordinated and meet all regulatory and patient care standards according to standards set forth by the state licensing and other accreditation agencies. The Director of Clinical Services serves as a member of the Leadership Team.
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable the clinical team (therapists, family therapists, case management) to the execution of Clearfork Academy programs in accordance with the policies, procedures, and core processes of Clearfork Academy, and according to the standards set forth by any licensing or accreditation agencies.
- Responsible for working in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, Director of Residential Services, and operations department of the facility in overseeing the management of the daily clinical operations of the facility while demonstrating ethical and professional conduct.
- Acts as a supervisor for all clinical documents when required.
- Provide professional and ethical therapy to individuals with substance abuse and/or co-occurring mental health diagnoses in treatment through group, individual counseling, family counseling, and education.
Requirements:
Education, Training, and Experience Required:
- Unrestricted licensure in Texas, to include Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). (required)
- Approved supervisor status by state professional licensing board. (preferred)
- At least two years of experience in the field of chemical dependency and/or behavioral health. (preferred)
- Current CPR/FA certification
- Current Handle with Care Physical Hold certification
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of industry standards: organization, theory, principles, and research processes, quality improvement and change management techniques, financial analysis, budget process and planning, accreditation and regulatory standards, strategic planning principles, ability to assess clinical care requirements based on psychotherapeutic and human development principles, scope of practice, and regulatory standards.
- Understanding of Addiction: Basic knowledge about substance use disorders
- Treatment knowledge: familiarity with behavior change and recovery models
- Application to practice: Methods for applying intervention and recovery knowledge to practice
- Professional readiness: Issues related to self-awareness, diversity, ethics, and continuing education
- Knowledge of PC software programs, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Accurately and timely enters clinical documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) software.
- Written and oral communication skills; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic
- Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations such as when verbally or physically confronted in an aggressive manner
