What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Setter, 3rd Shift position at Clearfield Metal Technologies?
Clearfield Metal Technologies is a Powder Metal Company in Clearfield, PA. Over the last 12 years CMT has continued to grow at a rapid rate, all the while maintaining a family oriented work culture! Over the last 2 years we have added more presses (including an 825t), furnaces, departments, and a 20,000 sq/ft addition. Full time position
3rd Shift:
11pm-7am
Sunday - Thursday
Shift Differential: $0.50/hr
Pay rate is dependent on class level (A,B,C)
Job Duties:
- Set up molding equipment including but not limited to:
-
- Putting tooling and die in presses
- Setting up part per control plan instructions
- Performing 1st piece inspections
- Preparing press for operators run
- Work with engineering on potential process improvements
- Work with engineering on tooling changes / tooling reworks
- Handling / placing product on appropriate skids / trays as described in control plans
- Visually inspect parts for defects (excessive burrs, chips, etc…)
- Stop equipment immediately in the event that non-conforming product is being produced
- Notify supervisor of any problems
- Complete appropriate hold tags as necessary
- Place product in hold area if necessary
- Complete daily production reports as required
Requirements:
- Responsible for own quality and ability to follow process control plans
- Responsible for house cleaning and keeping area neat and clean
- Perform length and weight adjustments on any standard action (and multi action press for class A or B)
- Basic understanding and function of standard action (and multi action press for class A or B)
- Proficient in blueprint reading
