POSITION TITLE: DIRECTOR, GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING
OBJECTIVE: Lead and optimize end-to-end global supply chain operations. Drives efficiency, cost optimization and operational excellence through strategic thinking and alignment between demand, supply, production, and inventory strategies (SIOP). Strategically manages global supply chain procurement and material planning. Leads a global team of procurement and commodity professionals. Manages disparate regional supply chain activities into a cohesive, globally coordinated entity, ensuring consistent and standardized strategies. Monitors and reports on key metrics to maintain supply chain and customer delivery optimization. Key member of the Global Operations Leadership Team responsible for contributing and collaborating on the tactics and strategies needed to achieve Operation goals.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supply Chain Strategy & Execution:
- Lead the development and execution of a robust SIOP process that integrates business planning across sales, operations, finance, and product management.
- Facilitate monthly SIOP meetings to drive alignment between forecasted demand and operational capabilities.
- Analyze gaps in forecast accuracy and capacity to recommend solutions that align with business goals.
- Oversee procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions, including geopolitical, logistical, or supplier-related risks.
- Partner with R&D, sales, and finance teams to ensure supply chain strategies support new product introductions and market demands.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and supply chain costs to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and environmental sustainability goals in all supply chain activities.
Inventory and Production Planning:
- Implement inventory control strategies to balance supply and demand, reduce excess stock, and ensure availability of critical components for uninterrupted production.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align production schedules with demand forecasts, minimizing lead times and optimizing resource utilization
- Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and continuity of supply.
- Oversee supplier performance, conducting regular meetings internally and externally to ensure sourcing activities are on track.
- Communicates to the organization and suppliers the importance of meeting customer- as well as statutory and regulatory requirements.
Logistics & Distribution:
- Oversee domestic and international logistics, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Build cross-functional partnerships to drive collaboration and continuous improvement.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Masters or MBA preferred).
- 10 years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in SIOP and demand/supply balancing.
- Experience in the fiber optics, electronics, or telecommunications industry preferred.
- Deep knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supply chain planning tools. Experience working with Epicor strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and process improvements across global supply chain networks.
- Related experience in an ISO-based manufacturing environment for highly configurable products.

SALARY RANGE: $147,400 - $184,300 - $221,100, Bonus Eligible
