What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enforcement Officer position at Clearfield County Government?

The Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing child and spousal support court orders. This includes in office and field work. Employer paid training, mileage and meal expenses. In addition, all equipment and clothing required for field work supplied by the employer.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Use of office computer system to monitor and inform clients of the status of their case(s); speaking with clients in office, via phone or email to resolve issues; perform locate functions; review of court orders including wage attachments, financial institutions, attorneys, judges and other local, in state and out of state and federal agencies; service of paperwork and court orders to establish and/or enforce court orders; prepare contempt hearing documents and summaries for judges, participate in the contempt hearings and offer sentencing recommendations; apprehend and arrest individuals as directed by the court; transport prisoners to and from court hearings.

REQUIREMENTS:
Attend and pass ACT 235 lethal weapon training. In addition to firearms training, employee must attend and pass taser training.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, or closely related field
