System Administrator II — Linux, AWS & Data Flows

About the opportunity
Support mission systems through Linux administration, AWS infrastructure management, and end-to-end data flow integration.
This opportunity combines hands-on technical work with project delivery, helping ensure that data moves reliably across systems and that solutions meet performance, scalability, and mission requirements.
What you’ll do
- Support the design and integration of end-to-end data flows.
- Administer Linux environments, including RHEL and Amazon Linux 2023.
- Manage AWS environments supporting mission systems.
- Configure and monitor Apache NiFi or comparable ETL and orchestration tools.
- Align technical solutions with mission objectives.
- Support projects from concept through delivery.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and data movement issues.
Required qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- At least 10 years of System Administrator experience on programs of similar scope and complexity.
- Strong Linux skills, including RHEL or Amazon Linux 2023.
- Demonstrated experience managing AWS environments.
- Direct experience configuring and monitoring Apache NiFi or similar ETL or orchestration tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an employer-approved experience substitution.
Preferred qualifications
- Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with accreditation, Authorization to Operate, and system security plan maintenance.
- CI/CD, Git, Jira, and Confluence experience.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate, or RHCSA certification.
Compensation and benefits
Compensation depends on qualifications, program requirements, and benefit selections. Listed benefits include an immediately vested 10% employer 401(k) contribution, five weeks of PTO with up to seven weeks available, healthcare/dental/vision options, $2,500 in training, paid referrals, and profit sharing.
