Position Overview
We are seeking a TS/SCI Cleared Systems Engineer or DevOps Specialist to support the secure deployment, maintenance, and sustainment of a mission-critical platform at a government customer site in Virginia.
This role supports a long-term government program and involves periodic on-site installations and upgrades (monthly or quarterly) in a classified environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Linux, PostgreSQL, Docker, and AI/ML workloads and be comfortable working inside highly controlled government networks.
This is a hands-on technical role, not a consulting or advisory position.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site installation, upgrades, and sustainment of secure systems at a government facility
Deploy and maintain Docker-based applications and services
Administer and tune PostgreSQL databases supporting AI/ML workloads
Support Linux system configuration, patching, and performance tuning
Implement system hardening, logging, monitoring, and auditing
Troubleshoot application, database, and infrastructure issues
Coordinate with government IT, cybersecurity, and change-management teams
Ensure systems comply with security, operational, and accreditation requirements
Support long-term system lifecycle over a 3–5 year program
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI security clearance (required – must be current)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer
Strong hands-on experience with:
Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
PostgreSQL database administration
Docker and containerized deployments
Secure system installation and sustainment
Experience supporting secure, air-gapped, or restricted environments
Preferred Experience
Supporting DoD or Intelligence Community systems
Deploying or supporting AI / ML platforms in classified or secure environments
Familiarity with STIGs, RMF, NIST 800-53, or security accreditation processes
Experience working inside government data centers or secure facilities
Salary : $55 - $70
