What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registration Clerk position at ClearChoiceMD MSO LLC?
The Registration Professional is responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient registration process. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Greet patients in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner.
- Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information and verify insurance coverage for all patients.
- Review patient information in the EMR for completeness and accuracy.
- Provide necessary forms to patients for completion and signatures, ensuring all registration fields are fully completed and scanned into the patient’s chart.
- Review past-due balances and collect payments as required.
- Mark patients as ready in the system when they are prepared to be seen.
- Collect payments, insurance co-pays, and PDRX charges.
- Coordinate requests for release of information (ROI), including scanning and emailing requests to the ROI team.
- Maintain familiarity with other center locations and the company website.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook, as needed.
- Answer telephone calls and document messages accurately for staff.
- Perform administrative duties such as photocopying, faxing, and scanning forms.
- Prepare end-of-day reports, manage deposits, and reconcile cash transactions.
- Scan receipts, medical record requests, and forms into patient charts daily.
- Pre-register patients prior to their arrival.
- Audit and balance all financial transactions to ensure accurate daily deposits.
- Distribute mail and maintain a list of adequate levels of office supplies and forms to support smooth department operations.
- Provide positive and professional support to team members and the department.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration within the Registration support group when sharing or receiving information.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus.
- 1–3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office, healthcare setting, or secretarial role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is preferred but not required
