Network Engineer

Our client, a major federal systems integrator located in Colorado Springs, CO, is looking to hire a Network Engineer for a 12-month, on-site contract supporting mission-critical DoD network infrastructure at Peterson Air Force Base. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching, DISA STIG compliance, network security, and secure communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Implement and maintain DISA STIG compliance across network infrastructure.
• Manage network security policies, routing protocols, and encryption devices.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and security issues.
• Support network upgrades, high availability, and infrastructure documentation.

Required Skills

• Active TS security clearance. (must be eligible for SCI)
• 5 years of network engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Cisco routing and switching experience.
• Experience implementing, validating, and remediating DISA STIGs.
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
• Security CE or equivalent security certification.
• Proficiency with BGP, EIGRP, STP, DMVPN, GRE, and VPN technologies.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting network security devices.

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $45-52 per hour
The posted range is an estimate, the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
