Duties

  • You will plan and manage office administrative operations and activities relative to task management.
  • You will maintain close liaison with the Navy Secretariat staff to ensure all necessary administrative actions are processed expeditiously and/or to provide additional information and/or documentation to effect actions in a timely manner.
  • You will prepare and delivery oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, and consult with directorate staff to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters and convey information.
  • You will write and edit a variety of correspondence and other documents (e.g., senior staff and front office meeting notes, formal reports, position papers, staff studies, summary packages, briefings, charts, background papers, etc.).
  • You will interpret and apply written and oral material from various agencies to determine degree of compliance and to develop, recommend, and implement required policies and procedures.
  • You will communicate across boundaries, manage multiple tasks, shape workflow, prioritize requirements, identify problems and propose alternate solutions. Requirements Conditions of employment

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must obtain and maintain top secret security clearance (SCI).
  • This is a testing designated position; you must submit to drug testing.
  • This position may require a probationary period. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated ability developing and implementing administrative policies; AND providing administrative support on a wide range of task management items (understanding of admin programs, composing memorandums, data, and forms, preparing and delivering oral presentations, and preparing a variety of correspondence). Familiarity utilizing a task management system such as ETMS.
