IT Infrastructure and Engineering Support Administrator Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: CACI has an immediate opening for an Infrastructure/Systems Administrator, supporting a development and test environment, utilizing various operating systems and a multitude of engineering equipment. This position is located I Herndon, VA. and allows for remote flexibility. Responsibilities: * Provides support for Linux/Unix, Windows, and other embedded operating systems and applications, to include connectivity to various network identity providers, e.g. Active Directory, NIS, LDAP, etc..

• Responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, storage, network, security, etc.) issues, both on-site and remote, using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications.
• Provides system administration for assigned on-prem and/or cloud infrastructure, and establishes and maintains security as it relates to the systems and users.
• Applies security patches and operating system or application upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.
• Supports new infrastructure projects, to include helping with design and implementation of processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure. Qualifications: Required: * Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of related systems administration experience.
• Some level of technical and industry experience in either Linux or Windows environments, supporting network infrastructures, and virtualization.
• Minimum of a year experience providing Tier 1 or Tier 2 helpdesk/desktop support.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Demonstrated experience with providing remote troubleshooting and assistance.
• Experience in using, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation tools such as PowerShell/shell scripts, Puppet, Ansible, and/or Cron jobs.
• Candidate should be able to assess and determine internal, remote, and external customer IT needs, and design solutions to meet them.
• Requires U.S. Citizenship Desired: * Certifications in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft, Red Hat, Cisco, SNIA, or CompTIA.
• Possess DoD 8570 certification.
• Software development/programming experience.
• Familiarity with government security requirements, such as DCID, NISPOM, NIST 800-171, etc.
