Duties / Responsibilities
- Perform and lead advanced technician-level work in support of engineering and scientific projects, ensuring all tasks are executed in accordance with established technical standards and program requirements.
- Provide hands-on support for system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and testing across a variety of platforms, tools, and technologies.
- Oversee day-to-day technical operations, assigning work, monitoring progress, and ensuring accurate, timely completion of all activities.
- Coordinate closely with engineers, scientists, and program managers to translate technical guidance into actionable work tasks for support teams.
- Lead the development, documentation, and refinement of technical procedures, maintenance protocols, test plans, and quality-control processes.
- Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and system performance assessments to identify issues and recommend corrective actions or improvements.
- Mentor and train junior technicians and support staff, fostering technical competency, safety awareness, and adherence to organizational standards.
- Participate in technical reviews, project planning sessions, and status meetings, providing expert insight on technical support functions and resource needs. Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience serving as a leader, supervisor, or senior member of technical support teams involved in engineering or scientific efforts. Desired Experience / Skills
- 2–3 years of direct experience with High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP)–related systems, testing, hardening practices, and environmental considerations.
- Familiarity with electromagnetic protection standards, system survivability analysis, and mitigation techniques for mission-critical infrastructure.
