Key Responsibilities Aircraft Maintenance & Modifications
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance on F-15E aircraft.
- Conduct aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, and general mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Support the execution of TCTO 1F-15E-926 modifications, including Anti-Jam GPS Antenna installation tasks.
- Complete maintenance actions and documentation in accordance with technical orders, maintenance manuals, and established procedures.
- Execute Embedded GPS/INS Built-In Tests (BIT) and operational checkout.
- Assist with aircraft jacking/de-jacking, hydraulic system bleeding, and landing gear operational checks.
- Perform structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel system, and mechanical component maintenance as required. Technical Expertise & Compliance
- Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance directives.
- Conduct operational checks of integrated avionics systems to determine serviceability.
- Use and maintain specialized aviation electrical tools, including terminating devices and military-grade connectors.
- Apply technical knowledge of aircraft electrical, electronic, microelectronic, and mechanical systems.
- Support Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD) inputs, and Modification Work Order (MWO) recommendations. Maintenance Control & Documentation
- Maintain aircraft, engine, and Support Equipment (SE) logbooks.
- Document maintenance actions via logs, forms, records, and electronic systems.
- Support the Tool Control Program, hazardous materials accountability, and tool room/box/pouch management. Required Qualifications Experience
- Minimum 6 years total experience in aircraft avionics/electrical maintenance.
- Minimum 1 year of experience specifically on F-15 aircraft.
- Experience with aircraft modifications, electrical connector assembly/disassembly, and performing operational checks. Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to read/interpret TCTOs, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical publications.
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic theory, microelectronics, system indicators, and mechanical integration.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting integrated avionics systems and isolating malfunctions.
- Skilled in the use of electronic/electrical test equipment and precision measuring tools.
- Must meet USAF normal color vision requirements (AFI 48-123). Other Requirements
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (required).
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet maintenance schedules.
- Strong understanding of aircraft FOD prevention and safety protocols. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting USAF fighter aircraft modification programs.
- Familiarity with F-15E avionics systems such as GPS/INS, navigation, and communication suites.
- Prior work supporting AFLCMC, SPOs, or depot-level modification teams. Work Environment
