Clear Winds is seeking an IT Network Technician to provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise network infrastructure located on-site at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, documenting, and supporting network systems and connected devices while maintaining excellent client relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently while collaborating with senior technical staff when needed. This position requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Check monitoring systems for outages, device-down events, high utilization, interface errors, and other alerts (i.e., SolarWinds and ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine), and initiate investigations.
• Verify that switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers/APs, and other monitored network equipment are online.
• Check the Internet Circuit monitoring webpage for any overnight outages and initiate investigations if any are found.
• Check AP availability, client connectivity, excessive interference, high utilization, and unusually high client counts.
• Troubleshoot network-related Help Desk tickets involving Layer 1 issues, connectivity, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and similar issues.
• Connect, move, label, and document network cables and patch-panel connections as needed.
• Assist with new networked device deployments, including printers, phones, APs, IP cameras, and other related equipment.
• Escalate routing, firewall, spanning-tree, major VLAN, infrastructure, security, or widespread outage issues to senior staff.
• Set up network connectivity for various special events.
• Keep network diagrams updated.
• Maintain client relationships and perform any other tasks deemed necessary by management with respect to the business.

Work Location

This position is on-site at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
