this role, you will be responsible for detecting and diagnosing leaks in residential and commercial swimming pools using specialized tools and techniques. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in pool systems, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections of swimming pools, spas, and associated plumbing to identify leaks.
- Use electronic leak detection equipment, pressure testing, dye tests, and other diagnostic tools.
- Document findings accurately and prepare detailed service reports.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding leak locations, possible causes, and recommended repair options.
- Collaborate with repair technicians to ensure leaks are fixed effectively.
- Maintain and calibrate leak detection tools and equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and company standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in pool leak detection, plumbing, or pool maintenance.
- Proficient with leak detection equipment and methods.
- Strong understanding of pool plumbing and structural systems.
- Good physical condition; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- SCUBA certification (for in-water inspections)
- Experience with concrete, vinyl, and fiberglass pool structures
- Customer service experience
Work Environment:
- Primarily field-based, with work performed at customer sites.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- May require weekend or emergency work depending on customer needs.
