Role Overview
The Director of Institutional Demand Generation & Growth is responsible for leading and executing the firm’s institutional marketing strategy to drive revenue growth, brand credibility, and market penetration across financial services audiences. This role owns demand generation, product marketing, content, events, and communications, working in close partnership with sales, product, and executive stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has deep experience marketing to hedge funds, private equity firms, asset managers, private credit platforms, and institutional financial services, with a proven ability to build scalable marketing programs and deliver measurable pipeline and revenue impact.

Required Experience
The Base Salary Range for this role is $160,000-$215,000. This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Where a candidate falls in this range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The range stated does not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of the firm’s institutional marketing strategy aligned to business and growth objectives
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership on go-to-market priorities, positioning, and market expansion initiatives
- Build, manage, and mentor marketing team members and external partners across demand generation, product marketing, content, and communications
- Own marketing budgets and ensure efficient allocation tied to performance and ROI
- Design and scale a comprehensive institutional demand generation engine across digital campaigns, content, events, ABM, and partnerships
- Drive qualified pipeline, conversion, and new client acquisition across hedge funds, private equity, asset management, and financial services segments
- Partner closely with sales leadership to align marketing programs with long-cycle institutional buying processes
- Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to track pipeline contribution, campaign performance, and revenue impact
- Own brand messaging, value propositions, and positioning across institutional segments and buyer personas
- Oversee creation of product marketing assets including one-pagers, case studies, pitch materials, and sales enablement content
- Lead buyer persona development and market segmentation to ensure targeted, relevant outreach
- Ensure consistent, compliant brand representation across all external and internal channels
- Develop and manage content and thought leadership strategy including white papers, newsletters, research, and executive content
- Lead PR initiatives, press releases, and media engagement to enhance brand visibility and credibility
- Build and manage influencer, analyst, and ecosystem relationships
- Oversee social media and employee advocacy programs to amplify reach and engagement
- Own institutional event strategy including hosted events, sponsored conferences, roundtables, and industry forums
- Drive pipeline and revenue impact through events targeting hedge funds, private equity, and institutional investors
- Cultivate relationships with industry associations, consultants, analysts, and centers of influence
- Partner with product and sales teams to support launches, positioning, and adoption of new offerings
- Ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with sales enablement needs and product roadmaps
- Support high-value institutional pitches, proposals, and RFP responses as needed
Required Experience
- 12–15 years of progressive marketing experience within institutional financial services, asset management, private equity, fintech, or professional services
- Proven success leading demand generation and go-to-market initiatives tied to revenue growth
- Experience managing teams, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
