Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Gutter Technician to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining gutter systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience with various construction techniques and tools is highly valued to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain gutter systems using hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding equipment.
- Measure and cut materials accurately based on schematics or blueprints.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure proper installation.
- Prepare work sites by cleaning surfaces, applying caulking, or sealing joints as needed.
- Collaborate with other trades such as roofing, siding, or masonry teams during projects.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for large-scale projects or site preparation.
- Assist in fabrication or customization of gutter components to fit specific project requirements.
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly handle all tools and materials.
Skills
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fixture installation.
- Knowledge of construction management principles and inspection procedures.
- Familiarity with related trades such as roofing, masonry, carpentry, drywall installation (including trim carpentry), stucco application, concrete finishing, tile laying, welding, and flooring installation is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings including electrical schematics or plumbing layouts when necessary.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different construction scenarios.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards at all times.
- Prior experience in construction site management or restoration projects is desirable but not required.
