Overview
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health services across diverse patient populations in a hybrid outpatient setting. Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including vital signs, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using EMR/EHR systems.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and other modalities
- Document all patient interactions accurately while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in telehealth consultations utilizing telemedicine platforms to expand access to mental health services.
Skills
- Proficiency in CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and diagnostic evaluation methods
- Experience working with mental health populations requiring complex care such as dementia/dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, or working with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration; understanding of medical terminology and documentation standards
