Apartment Community Exterior Cleaner / Porter
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
Hours: 7:30 AM–11:30 AM
Service Schedule: 12 hours per week
Compensation: Flat-rate monthly contract pay
Starting Opportunity: Approximately $400–$800 per month depending on assigned workload
Clear Point Commercial Cleaning is seeking 1–2 dependable cleaning professionals to assist with servicing an apartment community in St. Petersburg.
This position primarily involves outdoor cleaning and property upkeep. Applicants should understand that this is a physically active cleaning assignment and may involve working outdoors in heat, dirt, leaves, debris and other conditions common throughout an apartment community.
Responsibilities
Duties may include:
- Cleaning outdoor tile and common-area flooring
- Sweeping and scrubbing outdoor stairwells
- Using a leaf blower to move leaves and debris into designated grass or mulch areas
- Cleaning and sanitizing outdoor pool-area restrooms
- Emptying trash containers and replacing liners
- Moving designated trash to the curb
- Outdoor dusting and wiping of surfaces
- Cleaning breezeways, walkways and common areas
- Performing additional specialty cleaning as assigned
This is a physical, hands-on cleaning position. Applicants should be comfortable walking throughout the property, working outdoors and performing heavy-duty cleaning when needed.
Schedule
The property is currently serviced:
Monday: 7:30 AM–11:30 AM
Tuesday: 7:30 AM–11:30 AM
Thursday: 7:30 AM–11:30 AM
The owner of Clear Point Commercial Cleaning will also be onsite to assist with servicing the account and maintaining cleaning standards.
Depending on staffing, the workload may be assigned primarily to one cleaner or divided between two cleaners.
Compensation
This opportunity is paid based on the assigned cleaning account/workload rather than an hourly rate.
A cleaner assigned the majority of the account may earn approximately $800 per month.
If the account is divided between two cleaners, compensation may be approximately $400 per month per cleaner, based on each cleaner's assigned portion of the work.
Exact responsibilities, schedule and compensation will be discussed before accepting the assignment.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning, janitorial, porter or property-maintenance experience preferred
- Must have reliable personal transportation
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must be comfortable performing physical and outdoor cleaning
- Must be able to use basic commercial cleaning equipment
- Must be comfortable using a leaf blower
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A company shirt and cleaning kit will be provided.
